Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Pancasila in collaboration with Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA) and Department of Food Science and Technology IPB University proudly presents The 4th World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) 2024.
This activity was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy Building of Pancasila University which took place on May 13-16, 2024.
The opening ceremony on May 13, 2024 was attended by the Rector of Pancasila University Prof. Dr. Ir. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, IPU, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Pancasila University Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin, M.Biomed., IYSA President Mr. Deni Irawan, M.Pd., officials in the rectorate and faculty, and representatives of international delegations from 2 countries, namely Bangladesh and Thailand.
Prof. Marsudi in his speech said that the current technological developments open up opportunities for many things that were previously impossible to be possible. The city's human resources need to have high skilled technical in order to operate technology because later there will be many human jobs replaced by machines.
But in the future we will need human resources with High Skilled Innovators or Creator human resources, so that they can keep up with technological developments. In order not to be left behind we need to master the 9 pillars of technology and competition activities like this are important to stimulate the younger generation to become innovators in technology.
The chief organizer of WSEEC 2024, Iqbal Julian, said that WSEEC is an annual multinational innovation competition in the fields of General Science, Environment, and Engineering with participants from elementary to university level. More specifically, this competition covers the following fields: Mathematics, Energy and Engineering, Physics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Environment and Technology.
Iqbal further explained that this year's event will be participated by 311 teams with details of 48 offline teams and 163 online teams from 18 countries, namely India, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, South Korea, United States, United Arab Emirates, Puerto Rico, Iran, Egypt, Malaysia, Philippines, Mexico, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
Activities on May 13, 2024 are Opening Ceremony and judging of online participant teams. The activity on May 14, 2024 is the judging of offline participant teams. The activities on May 15, 2024 are Inventors' Talk and Awarding Ceremony for online participating teams. While on May 16, 2024, the activities will be filled with Awarding Ceremony for offline participant teams and Closing Ceremony.
It is hoped that through this event, the younger generation can channel their bright ideas into the form of product innovations that can bring progress to social life.
