The activity from IYSA (Indonesian Young Scientist Association) entitled "World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition" 2022 succeeded in bringing fresh air to the student team from Universitas Bakrie. World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) 2022 is a writing competition to increase creativity in the fields of science, environment, and engineering. Through this competition, IYSA invites young researchers to work and present it in front of the jury.
Universitas Bakrie students who formed a team from a combination of 2 study programs, namely Food Science & Technology and Management consisting of Kadek Enik Suyantini (ITP 2020), Mohamad Osvaldo Higa (ITP 2020), Ni Putu Purmayanti (Management 2020), Mulyani (Management 2020), and Kadek Juli Ardini (ITP 2021), won a Gold Medal in the Environment category, where their science research base this time was entitled "Analysis of Plick (Plastic Brick) as Eco-Friendly Waste Management in Improving the Economy and Employment Opportunities in Menteng Atas, South Jakarta". The focus of this research is to make bricks from plastic waste waste, starting from the observation process to the process of making research materials. The team sent by Universitas Bakrie to the IYSA competition is one of the teams fostered by the Innovation Center and Business Incubator of Universitas Bakrie.
The team of students submitted their work on June 24, 2022, then prepared to carry out a project presentation on July 18, 2022, and received the results of the Gold Medal on Awarding Day held on July 21, 2022 yesterday, which successfully competed with 305 teams from the total countries.
