The World Science Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) international competition has been successfully held for the fifth time this year. This prestigious event was held again at Pancasila University, Jakarta.
This year, WSEEC 2025 was attended by 297 teams from 14 countries, consisting of 237 teams participating online on May 14-16, 2025, and 59 teams participating offline on May 19-22, 2025.
The countries participating in WSEEC 2025 include: Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Romania, Hong Kong, Austria, the United States, and Indonesia.
Interestingly, the offline competition was also attended by participants from Malaysia, Bangladesh, Thailand, South Korea and Indonesia. In addition to competing, participants from Thailand and South Korea were also invited to get to know Indonesian culture through visits to a number of tourist destinations in Jakarta such as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta Aquarium, Jakarta Cathedral and Istiqlal Mosque, as well as lunch together at Happy Day Restaurant, and closed with a visit to Jakarta's icon, the National Monument (Monas).
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners. In addition to the gold, silver and bronze medals, we also gave special awards to the best teams. One of the highest awards is the IYSA Grand Award, which is a fully funded opportunity to participate in the 2025 International Invention and Innovative Expo (IIIEX) event (with terms and conditions applied). This prestigious award was achieved by a team from UIN Walisongo Semarang through their innovative project entitled: “UniTask: A Student-Based Digital Platform to Support Economic Resilience and Service Exchange Among Students”.
